Ukraine - Chicken Kiev
Who doesn't love a Chicken Kiev? Crunchy breadcrumbs, perfectly cooked and tender chicken bursting with flavorsome garlic butter! Well we decided what better for Ukraine's turn at Around the World in 80 BBQs than their national dish but as this is WOWBBQ we had to adapt it for cooking on a Weber BBQ. |

EQUIPMENT To produce this dish we've used the following:

IN THE KITCHEN
- In a mixing bowl add softened butter and garlic, fork until well mixed.
- Stuff the whole chicken with the garlic butter and a lemon too!
- Coat liberally with olive oil.
- In a large drip tray mix flour and parsley.
- Coat the chicken with the flour mix.
- In a large drip tray add eggs and beat.
- Add your floured chicken and coat well with the egg mix.
- Then using another large drip tray coat with breadcrumbs, be sure to use your hands for an even coating.
- Wrap the bird in foil and position on the Weber Gourmet BBQ System Poultry Roaster.
AT THE BBQ
- Set up your BBQ for indirect cooking and position your chicken using the GBS system.
- If you're using a large chicken cook for about 90 minutes and then remove the tin foil.
- Cook for a further 15 minutes or so to crisp up the skin/colour the breadcrumbs.
- Use a temperature probe to ensure the bird is cooked properly and has reached a core temp of 75 degrees Celsius.
- Once cooked the chicken will be pull apart tender and packed with awesome garlicky flavour, fight over the breadcrumb skin and enjoy!
