Sunshine Garden Centre has twice been a winner of the Garden Centre Association's prestigious Ruxley Rose competition – Best Plant Area in the UK. Our award-winning Outdoor Plant Department boasts a range that is difficult to beat. From bedding plants to majestic olive and bay trees, all outstanding quality and sourced only from the best growers at home and abroad. More importantly, there is a wealth of knowledge from our expert plant staff, to advise and guide both the beginner and the experienced gardener.

Our stock is seasonal and relative to the weather, and this is reflected in our buying pattern - we search for the best-looking stock in all situations. Needless to say, requests for unusual plants are always taken seriously, and we will try our best to source them from growers in the UK or abroad. This means that we will offer a free replacement for any plant that has died, provided it is hardy and has been given reasonable care. Proof of purchase as well as the plant itself, is essential with this service.

Our plant area is headed up by the oracle of all gardens, Denis! A proud Cork man, Denis joined us back in 1994 as a graduate in Horticulture from University College Dublin. Besides a brief stint away with his wife and family in Poland for a couple of years, Denis is our longest serving member of staff and he is backed up by a team with a wealth of experience.
